This year has been great for the Life Drawing Society as a community; we’ve been closer than ever with a range of diverse models. From cosplays to fur suits, cool outfits and even a dog! We’ve had a blast every session!!
We held two collaborative sessions with other societies, proving members with a new opportunity to learn and experience as a group. Society members had the chance to draw those at Fencing Society practising their skills, and also travelled down to Keele to watch the Re-enactment Society battle it out!
We ran our beloved Halloween session for two sessions rather than one from the popularity it has gained - with members encouraged to have fun, dress up and have the opportunity to model to be drawn.
Even Santa himself visited us once again from the North Pole to model, followed by a new addition of a Christmas Jumper session before the festive holidays!!
Our community has grown bigger than we ever thought possible, with more people from different non-art related courses joining in with our society - leading to our Draw More Charity Challenge growing and raising so much for people in need.
We’re so grateful to all our members for helping us make Life Drawing Society a welcoming and fun environment together - not a session goes on without laughter involved!
And it’s not over yet! For we will continue this with our annual Silly Hat Session, and plan to continue the fun actives with a few sessions before our current committee graduate once deadlines are over.
So, this Proud to Shout is dedicated to all the members and models of the Life Drawing Society that make this society amazing and so full of life from a very grateful committee <3
