We're shining the student spotlight on the Life Drawing Society! Thinking of sharpening your artistic skills or diving into a new medium? Why not take a look!
This week, we're shining our Student Group Spotlight on Life Drawing Society...
About the group:
The Life Drawing Society gives you a space to continue developing your skills outside of session, while also being a good place to chat, chill and share your work with peers! It's a great way to learn and practise fundamentals, an important skill for all artists to always be practising, and the society is a fun place to do it! We get fantastic model volunteers who dress up either in cosplay or cool and interesting clothes (you can even volunteer yourself), then we draw in whichever medium we want to practice (except oils!). It's a good place to try out new supplies and get more comfortable starting a piece instead of waiting for the perfect time. Many of our current and past members feel that casual life drawing sessions helped a bunch with their course work over time! We also get non-art students with an interest in picking it back up again or trying it for the first time.
Every skill level is welcome! We're a passionate group and love to see you all enjoy yourself and find your groove. Come and ask us any questions you have during the mid-session breaks or keep to yourself and chill undisturbed, whichever you prefer!

Special Achievements to include:
Last year the life drawing society were nominated at the We Are Staffs Awards for Charity Champions Awards, Committee of the Year, and Academic Society of the Year.
They also raised over £200 for charity last year in their annual charity drawing challenge "Draw More"!
