We have some wonderful students stepping up to take the lead on a proposed new student group: Blockbuster and Ballads.
Silver Screen Soc at the London branch is rebranding into Block Buster and Balls, a society bringing together students who love films, karaoke, and socialising! From watching our favourite films and discussing iconic movie moments to singing our hearts out at karaoke nights, we aim to create a fun, welcoming space where students can relax, meet new people, and share their interests.
The society hopes to offer a variety of opportunities for students to get involved, make friends, and enjoy fun social activities alongside their studies. Whether you’re a film enthusiast, love a good karaoke session, or simply want to meet new people across the London branch, Block Buster and Balls is the place for you!
They’re looking for enthusiastic students to join our committee as a Communications Officer or Wellbeing and Inclusion Officer.(you can find out more here about what works: Clubs and Societies FAQ's)
These roles are a great opportunity to help organise events, promote the society, and make sure everyone feels welcome and included. You can find out more about committee roles through the Clubs and Societies FAQs.
We’re also welcoming general members who would like to attend events, get involved in activities, and help shape the future of the society.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, whether you’re ready to take on a committee role or simply want to join us for movie nights, karaoke, and good company, drop us a line to get involved ! With enough interest, we’ll have Block Buster and Balls at the London branch up and running in no time!
