We have some wonderful students stepping up to take the lead on a proposed new student group: Debating Society.
"The main objective for this society is to give students a safe environment to debate current world events, for everyone to say their piece, and to connect. For politics not to divide us but to unite us".
They are looking to offer opportunities to students to get involved, meet like-minded people, and take part in their favourite activity.
They are looking for interested students who might want to support alongside them as a committee leader (you can find out more here about what works: Clubs and Societies FAQ's)
And are also scoping student interest for members.
If this is something that you’d like to get involved in, if you are willing to step up and take on a leadership role, or would simply be interested in joining – do drop us a line to let us know. If we have enough interest, we’ll have a new student group up and running in no time!
