Opportunity description:


Keep Talking Services is a telephone befriending charity that pairs health and social care students with people in the community who are experiencing loneliness and/or poor mental health. 

Our volunteers have weekly telephone calls with their client, offering a friendly listening ear and meaningful connection. 

- No previous experience required. 

- Open to students from any health and social care related degree subjects.

Training:

 All volunteers will receive relevant training/induction and expenses paid DBS check.

Volunteering with Keep Talking Services provides students with the opportunity to:

  • Develop your communication and active listening skills. 
  • Gain experience supporting people with their mental well-being. 
  • Make a meaningful difference to someone’s life by dedicating just one hour a week.
