    Parking for both commuters and halls residents

      Perhaps we could make a park and ride available from Fenton manor, as the days are getting shorter, and the nights darker it's becoming more of a risk to park there and walk to campus, I personally wouldnt want to be walking for 30+ minutes in the dark alone in order to get to make car to drive home during and emergency, nevermind on a daily basis for commuters. I, myself live in clarice cliff and parking was my main reason for coming to this uni, let alone the accomodation. Should i need to be home during the night, theres no possible way of me being able to get to my younger sister and my terminally ill mum. Parking on campus for me is an essential requirement for me to stay here, not to mention being able to get to and from my job. Perhaps a carpark expansion is in order for clarice cliff, if possible onto lordship lane where people park anyway.

    5:13pm on 13 Oct 19 If there are exceptional personal circumstances regarding a requirement for a vehicle, please speak to the Union team or email parking@staffs. They will always try to help where possible but can't deal with peoples individual circumstances if they are not made aware. Expanding car parks often isn't as simple as just deciding too as it is often down to gaining permission from authorities such as the council.
