American Football Club

With the fixtures for next season being recently released and the buildup for the Wembley NFL fixtures starting, the Staffordshire Stallions recruitment drive is moving into the next gear. American Football is one of the fastest growing sports in Britain, and provides a legitimate opportunity to represent your country internationally.

In the past the team has produced players who have played at the highest level, one of our Old Boys Jermaine Allen spent 2 years in the NFL with the Chicago Bears & New Orleans Saints, and he comes back along with dozens of others to play against the current team at the end of every season. The Stallions are not just a club you join while at uni, but are a community who are there for life. Former players have travelled from France, Germany & Canada just to come back to Stoke for 1 weekend to see old teammates.

It's not just a sport for guys either, the league is mixed. One of our graduating players from last season is involved in the Great Britain Womens' American Football Team program, and just over 10 years ago we were the first University in Britain to be represented in the National Final by a female player.

We are an inter campus club, primarily based in Stoke but we have always had very talented and committed players from Stafford as well. We will be around the campuses during Welcome Week and will soon be revealing the information for our Give It A Go Session at the end of Welcome Week where anyone who wants to try the sport can come along as see what it's about.

The Stallions are not just something you can be involved in at University, we are a club that will be there for life.
