It's all about YOU - Live, Laugh, Leah!
This isn’t MY manifesto, it’s all about YOU!
Hello Staffs! After a year of being one of your officers, I’m back for round two! As a former Games Art course rep, society committee, a student staff member and now a first-year officer – I know how important it is that officer projects are relevant to YOU.
Transparency, Accountability & Empathy in How YOU are Communicated to!
-
Union - Officer drop-in sessions to tell the SU what matters to you, as well as regular visible updates on what the SU is doing and why.
-
Trust-building – A focus on building trust between you, your staff and your SU (as well as frameworks to support you when things go wrong)
-
Working with University Comms to create communications that are relevant & informative to you.
-
Continuing to lobby for transparency around University decision-making.
Improving the Spaces, Facilities & Resources YOU need!
-
Continuing to lobby for more 24/7 space that ALL students can use regardless of specialism, as well as at home software access where possible.
-
Creating on campus spaces that you want to spend time in, both academically and socially!
-
Accessibility - Ensuring ability to access resources and spaces is consistent regardless of a student's background.
A Campus That YOU Want to Be On!
-
Focus on opportunities for societies AND students to contribute to/create events THEY want to go to – including student event suggestions!
-
MORE pop-ups on campus, particularly focused on giving students more opportunities to sell/showcase their work as well as advice drop-ins for when you need support
-
Safety – Making the campus environment feel safe for ALL students
-
A Vibrant Campus – Working towards a campus that feels lively with the above, but also looking for further opportunities along the way!
So don't wait! Vote to Live, Laugh, Leah NOW!
