During my tenure as Full-Time Officer of the Student Union, I wish to provide more social events for students in the Games department by leveraging my network of Industry professionals to empower students, as well as teach them the importance of connecting with the people working on some of their favourite games. This will be effective through a focus on collaboration with the Careers Department in finding and sharing opportunities for students looking into a career in games, alongside advice on the creation of their portfolios and LinkedIn pages. Finally, this would be impossible without getting to know the students personally, which is why I plan to be more approachable to anyone looking for quick chats or having a person they can just speak to.
