Hi! I'm Kota, a final year concept artist. You may recognise me from karaoke, my two-year run as game arts rep, or my colourful LRV lights!
Why should you Vota Kota?
Here's what I'll do as your officer:
A Campus for Everyone
- Improving access to 24 hour facilities: Pushing for spaces with no academic scheduling to ensure you always have a place to work.
- Asking for what YOU want from campus: Dedicated spaces to eat away from computers, vending machines in late study areas, up-to date and fixed computer facilities so you don't have to seat-hop to find a pc that runs unreal engine.
- Access for EVERYONE: At home access to resources, surveying disability infrastructure around campus, informing and assisting you in acquiring and using SIPs, ECS, etc.
Protect Our Work
- AI Regulation: Working to ensure transparency on AI rules and guidelines, and preventing it being pushed in creative courses where inappropriate.
- Access to resources you need for creative work: Raising awareness about university technical facilities and ensuring they stay open and available for you to use.
- Making sure you're satisfied in your study: Campaigns for awareness of student rights and support channels, so you can easily get help and fix issues where you see them, whether through student reps, lecturers, or talking directly to an advisor.
University and You
- Clearer University and Union communications Around funding, academic changes, and anything affecting your studies.
- Closing the feedback loop between the University and Students, knowing your voice is heard to those making decisions.
- Preferred Names: Cracking down on the misuse of legal VS preferred name databases, so you never receive communication that doesn't reflect who you are.
