Hi there! I’m Saira, a final year Computer Science student at the London campus. You might have seen me on student news as a presenter, at different university events, or just around Data Junction, where I spend most of my time working.
As your Full Time Officer, I'd like to be someone you can actually talk to; someone approachable, honest, and on your side. Too often, students give feedback, raise concerns, or share ideas, and then don’t hear anything back and it’s not always clear what happens next, and that’s something I want to change.
I’ll make sure your voice doesn’t just get heard, but actually leads to something. Whether it’s an issue with your course, facilities, or your overall experience, I’ll be someone you can come to directly, keeping things transparent and making sure you’re never left wondering what’s going on. For me, this role is about listening to you, taking action, and making sure you’re always kept in the loop, so you know what’s being raised, what’s being worked on, and what’s actually changing.
I also want to help university feel even more so like a community, by working with societies and the Union to support more engaging events, better promotion of what’s already happening, and more opportunities for students to get involved and meet people.If you’ve ever felt unheard, overlooked, or unsure where to go, I want to change that, because you deserve a university that listens.
