Stoke Vs Stafford
This is probably not the best place to mention this but here it goes. I have noticed that most of the interesting stuff that happens around the uni is always based in Stoke. I was really interested to take part in the Is it  possible to have something like that in Stafford as well?

This is exactly the right place to mention it!   What sort of thing do you have in mind? We do try to keep a fair balance between the two but, as a Stafford student myself, I know we're sometimes left out. Stafford does now get more live music than Stoke as Legends is better suited to it than the LRV, however the latter does have a higher capacity.   If you have any suggestions or requests, please post back and let us know. Failing that, hopefully you will enjoy the Winter Ball ...in Stafford!   All the best,   Tim

i was thinking more about things like curry or mexican night. i think there was a salsa night in stoke too (to be honest i do  think it is the best place for it). but at least it's something different and get you out of a boring routine. plus if you look at the list of activities (societies) in stoke, there's way more diversity. Is it not possible to start a boxing club in stafford? surely loads of people will join. Thanks

I'll pass your thoughts on Curry/Salsa Night/increased variety on to the Commercial Services Officer and venues. I can tell you that there used to be a Curry Night in Stafford, but it only ever had about two people there (I was one of them on a couple of occasions!)   With regards to activities, yes, it's absolutely possible to start a Boxing Club, or indeed any other club or society on either campus. Drop an e-mail to activities@staffs.ac.uk or visit the Activities pages of the website to find out how.   Tim
