Student Staff Consultative Forum
The Union recognises that consultation with staff is important. It keeps staff, managers & officers informed of each other’s perspective. It can improve decision making by utilising the skills & experience of staff and it can enhance staff morale as staff feel listened to.
The Student Staff Consultative Forum is made up of a group of student staff who represent your views to the Union on matters of importance relating to your employment, such as:

Terms & Conditions of Employment.

Strategic planning
-
Operational decisions likely to affect the job prospects of particular groups or occupations
-
Aspects of immediate work environment
-
Health & Safety
-
Training & development
-
All staffing policies and procedures e.g. job evaluation, managing attendance, etc.
Student Staff Consultative Forum meets at least once a term. You will be paid at your normal rate of pay for the duration of the meeting.
