It's your chance to volunteer as a Course Rep!
It’s the start of a new year here at staffs and that means it’s Course Representative Recruitment time!
For those that aren’t too sure what a Course Rep is I’ll tell you! A Course Rep represents their cohort throughout the year by attending various meetings organised by their course to gather student thoughts and feelings! These meetings are called Course Committee Meetings and play a vital part in helping to shape the course you study on!
Being a Course Rep has so many benefits, in fact we used to have a PowerPoint with multiple slides dedicated to just the skills you would gather, but I won’t bore you with such a large list. So instead, I’ll stick to the headlines!
- Communication Skills
- Organisational Skills
- Problem-solving Skills
- Training Opportunities
The skills you will develop by volunteering to be a Course Rep will help build upon the skills you’ll already possess and make you even more employable after your time with us here at Staffs!
You could have an impact on the course you study on for years to come and improve the university experience for countless students!
So, what are you waiting for! If this sounds like something you’d like to be apart of then speak to your lectures or send us an email at studentvoice@staffs.ac.uk!
We would love to hear from you!
