Amelia from Rowley Regis has been bravely battling stage 4 neuroblastoma and is now receiving palliative care.
For her 8th birthday on 3rd March 2026, her special wish was to break a UK record by receiving 8,000 birthday cards.
Over the past month, alongside the local community, students and staff from the Stafford and Stoke campuses have been collecting and writing cards to help make her wish come true.
Together, we wrote 400 cards for Amelia.
By her birthday, the total number of cards she received had reached an incredible 250,000.
I’m sure everyone will agree that it has been a wonderful opportunity to help Amelia far exceed her goal. Thank you to everyone who took the time to write a card and be part of something so special.
