On Monday, November 17, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Verve will host an important event aimed at shaping a more inclusive and respectful university community — the Anti-Racism Manifesto. This initiative, led by your President Precious and Lishah, the Wellbeing and Inclusion Officer of ACS, invites students to take an active role in combating racial injustice.

The manifesto emphasises that racism is not limited to words; it manifests through actions, attitudes, and exclusion. Despite progress, racism persists in subtle forms, making awareness and accountability more critical than ever. The event seeks to create a space for open dialogue, where students can share experiences, identify gaps, and propose meaningful changes.

Our Promise:

  • Provide safe spaces for students to speak freely.
  • Promote race-aware and inclusive practices across all clubs, societies, and departments.
  • Commit to continuous learning, listening, and action to ensure a welcoming environment for all.

Participants will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and feedback - anonymously if they prefer - to help shape the manifesto. Whether it’s highlighting what stands out, identifying what’s missing, or suggesting changes, every voice matters in building a stronger, fairer community.

Don’t miss this chance to make a difference. Join us at Verve on November 17 and be part of the movement toward a truly inclusive university.
