02/02 -
Last week, I had some discussions with academics about student work showcases, as well as spending a good amount of time signal-boosting information about a student whose work was stolen.
09/02 - Last week, I attended the Regulations Group, where a big topic of conversation focused on breaks in study, particularly for courses going on teach-out, as well as updates to the student glossary to keep it consistent. I also was able to stop by the Computing/Myth/Engineering Society's session in the 3D factory - it's awesome seeing the equipment we have on campus!
16/02 - For me, last week was very busy with Speak Week, APP, and more meetings. The discussions about the characteristics of students who access funds and bursaries were particularly interesting. Between all of this, I picked up a student issue around worries around submission requirements. Luckily, we were able to pick this up fairly quickly for the department to respond!
24/02 - I was unfortunately ill for most of last week, but decided to spend most of my time working, pulling together a continuance plan for Officers on Tour (to ensure it happens after I leave!). This should give a framework to future generations of officers who are doing their own pop-ups, as well as to make sure it's ingrained into their responsibilities!
