Last week, I committed myself to lobbying the university to aid prospective students by giving them extra time to resume due to visa constraints, ensuring that they are supported while awaiting decisions that are beyond their control.

These past few weeks, I’ve been putting on my representation cap and ensuring positive outcomes for our students’ concerns. Supporting students with CAS (international processes) concerns, securing quick turnarounds on enrolment, and attending meetings with 'what’s best for our students' in mind. I’ve also focused on showing our students love from the Union by championing the “Your Union Loves You” Valentine card to reiterate the mission and vision of your Union as “a Union you can trust.” More updates coming soon!
23/02 - So, last week was more of a preparation phase for me! I was working towards raising awareness on what a Trainee Counsellor is and does, as well as finishing touches for the London trip with a focus on bringing great minds together to shape the anti-racism manifesto drafted by the Health and Social Care into one that can be nationally recognised, pushing inclusivity and respect, and creating a real difference beyond being a student.
