Thank you to: Computing Society
Student led group | Academic Society

Some proud students told us...
"Time and time again they have proven to be one of the most academically successful and helpful student groups. Their events are always so thoughtfully planned out and extremely helpful for students seeking out opportunities for their career or CV be it be guest talks or hackathons. One of the things i really love is every single one of their socials is something unique, a new topic to shed light on which makes every week interesting. Additionally, they have covered a wide rage of topics in the computing field to ensure students from multiple computing courses can partake in something."
"Every Computing society event is extremely rewarding either academically, socially, or both. It has brought together a community of people who are all passionate but also super friendly and kind. I feel exceptionally safe and welcomed in the society and I'm a proud member of it."
"This student group has seriously made a huge difference for students. They’re not just about running events—they’ve created real opportunities for people to get involved, learn new things, and connect with others. From handing out free stuff at the Welcme Fair to raising awareness for causes like Movember, they’re always doing something that impacts the student community in a meaningful way."
"This society introduced me to so many wonderful people despite not being a member. The infectious positivity of its members immediately influences the people around them."
"The computing society has made a huge impact on my time studying here, they have always been there to help when iIstruggle with work, host meanigful, and valuable events and expands on the whole computing experinece to levels I never once thought. Id like to give special thanks to Jonathan Samuel for running events and managing many stalls when advertising for the society "
"Their continued impact on my future career really has pushed my university life, pushing me into new and interesting avenues while also allowing me to make new friends."#
"This group has been very positive towards my mental health and helped me come out my shell a lot more in recent years. I've always struggled with social interactions and this group has hosted events that made me feel like I belong here at this university and have really helped me become the person I am today."
Thank you for making a positive difference for students here at Staffs.
