We are incredibly proud to announce that our society has been named Engineering Society of the Year at the national Engineering Talent Awards. This prestigious recognition celebrates our work across the technology sector and our volunteering strategy to help students from all backgrounds access opportunities in technology and engineering. Since our launch in 2024, our society has grown rapidly, welcoming 130 members within just six months and once again surpassing 100 active members this year.

This prestigious recognition celebrates our work across the technology sector and our volunteering strategy to help students from all backgrounds access opportunities in technology and engineering. Since our launch in 2024, our society has grown rapidly, welcoming 130 members within just six months and once again surpassing 100 active members this year.
Our mission has always been to create an inclusive and engaging community where students can develop technical skills, build confidence and connect with industry professionals. Our members have been actively involved in a range of initiatives, from career fairs and mock interviews to interactive software engineering workshops designed to build both technical and employability skills.
These events have helped our members gain valuable hands-on experience and insights into the tech industry, preparing them for successful careers. Just this academic year we have hosted trivia nights, movie nights, CV workshops, LinkedIn sessions with professional photographs and placement talks!
We are also grateful to have collaborated with leading organisations such as SheCanCode, Bright Network, Gradcracker, TechSkills and BCS, whose partnership and support have been instrumental in our journey.
This national recognition motivates us to continue empowering future engineers, game developers and tech extraordinaries, expanding our reach even further.
