Student Volunteer | Mario Kart Society

Some proud members of our community told us...

"Julian (Lee) has been an asset to the Mario Kart Society, and the volunteer work they have done this year has been nothing short of incredible to see. Lee has spent most of this year developing a card game specifically designed for the Mario Kart Society, with physical cards, collectables, and a fully functioning website to help track how games are progressing and to help players keep score. This idea has been built from the ground up, with a brand new idea for a game to include more people, and offer more activities for members to get involved in when there isn't enough space for them to play the console games. Lee and the committee spoke with the Student Engagement Team and had created a full pitch, including a cost breakdown, feasibility plan, and sample card packs for the team to keep. Each card in the booster packs is completely handmade by Lee (no small feat with there being over 100 different cards). The level of care Lee has put into this game has been astounding. But this isn't the only thing Lee has been working on, as he's been supporting the committee with the day-to-day things and helping to run weekly tournaments for members."

"Thank you for your continued hard work to ensure each member can feel included and part of the community. "

"Not only have they fulfilled all their duties as a financial officer over the year but they are completely dedicated to the society, working for hours on end making graphics for the society and have spent hundreds of hours designing and building a Mario Kart Society themed card game to both bring members together with a new game and to create another avenue for charity support since half the sale will go to local charities."

Thank you for making a positive difference for students here at Staffs.
