We're pleased to share examples of the wonderful people and groups in our community and how they make our student members feel proud. Each group or individual that receives a recognition submission is in with a chance of winning a We Are Staffs Award!

"Overall, being part of the Scarlettes has allowed me to create so many friendships with people I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for cheer. It also allows me to have a break from my studies keeping fit at the same time. I've always felt supported and it's good to feel part of a team."
"This student group does amazing stuff every year but this year they’ve really tried extremely hard in everything they do, they are always inclusive of all members, welcoming everyone into the team regardless of anything, they have already completed many charity events such a Movember and working with the Salvation Army with others planned for the future! They have faced a lot of struggles on the team this year however they push everyday to ensure they’re always a team!"

"Whilst I’m not in the group myself I have seen the work the Staffordshire Scarlettes do and the impact they make. They stand up for men’s mental health against all of the stigma and discrimination surrounding that subject and they work harder than any group I’ve seen."
"Cheer has been my support system, I have grown so much as a person because of cheer and honestly I love this sport so much. The people in this sport have turned into my family and I love them all so much and so proud of the hard work they put into the sport from trying to fight to get sessions to working their butts off to get us to comp I couldn’t ask them to do more."
