Hi Stafford students! We're your Full-Time Officer Team for 2026/27 - Tasha, Zain and Chloe!

We're super excited to work with you this year and want to say a HUGE thank you for electing us. Check out our intros below to learn some of the ways we're working for YOU this year.

Tasha Cork | she/her

Tasha here! Your Students' Union President!

I'm a final-year Policing and Criminal Investigation student, born and raised in Stoke-on-Trent, and I'm passionate about making the University of Staffordshire a safer, more inclusive and student-focused place. This year, I'll also be representing students in HEPS in the spaces where change happens! As Stafford students, this is what I'm working on for YOU this year:

• Championing a sense of belonging and inclusion through the introduction of Breastfeeding and expressing rooms on the Stafford campus and beyond
• Providing anonymous reporting boxes on your campus to keep you feeling safe and supported when you need it
• Creating a new officer-led platform to keep you in the loop, so you can stay updated whether you're on campus, at home or on placement!

Zain Javed | he/him

I'm Zain, one of your Full-Time Officers! I studied Business Computing and started out here as an international student myself, then went on to become a Course Representative, and now I've stepped into this role. My focus is simple: making sure every student's voice (home or international) is heard and acted on!

Stafford Campus has always meant something extra to me too. Having grown up watching my mum work in health for 28 years, I've seen firsthand how hard that journey really is, and it's a big part of why I care so deeply about supporting our HEPS students.

A few things I want you to know:

• Thank you for trusting me and believing in what I said during the campaign. It means more than you know.
• My door (and inbox) is always open. If you need help with anything, just reach out.
• I'm not doing this for a title. I'm here to get things done for students.
• I'll keep showing up, keep listening, and keep working to make things better for you this year

Chloe Bannister | she/they

Heya Stafford students! I'm one of your Full-Time Officers of the Students' Union this year! 

I'm a Cartoon and Comic Arts student who had the pleasure of graduating this year... with experience being a course rep, member of societies, committee member, and more! I've had a good run around the campus and what it has to offer. While I'm a creative industries student at heart, I grew up in the health care field with a previous desire to become a paramedic, so I have so much respect for what you do. I can't wait to work with you, so here are some things I'd like to bring into place this year. 

• Opening up the student engagement field within Stafford to allow for a wider range of social life events, societies and the means necessary for students to enjoy themselves outside of the classroom. 
• Make sure that all Stafford students are safe and feel they have a strong support network, especially when venturing into the private sector to fund their studies.
• Make sure your concerns are heard and that efforts are made to address them.
