This week, our spotlight shines on Wii Staffs.

Wii invite you to step into the world of Wii Staffs where Wii bring your childhood into adulthood — because just because Wii’ve grown up doesn’t mean Wii should stop playing one of the 2000s’ best consoles! Every week, Wii provide a mix of games, from classics like Wii Sports and Wii Party to hidden gems like Rockstar Games’ Table Tennis. And of course, Wii never miss the chance to drop a few Wii puns across our media!

Special Achievements

Wii Staffs’ first session of the new year, held on Monday 29th, was record-breaking with 32 attendees! It was incredible to see the results of all the work Wii put in last year as a start-up, plus the momentum from their Welcome Week events. The turnout was so strong that Wii almost ran out of consoles and remotes even after asking members to bring along their own kit, something Wii encourage at every session so everyone can join in.

Quotes from the members

“I’d say you guys are one of, if not the friendliest societies I've been to. You play varied games and make everyone feel welcome. Your pun work is commendable" -  Wii Staffs Member.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed the three times I have already engaged with the society, as the wide variety of casual but extremely fun games has meant I've picked up the controller and played full games with people I didn't know beforehand! I've just overall enjoyed my time and will be getting a membership soon, to sum it up" - Wii Staffs Member.

"In my opinion, Wii Staffs is one of the most welcoming and friendly societies at the university right now. Wii sessions are very casual, laidback and easy to make friends while enjoying a large range of classic games, genuinely they have all the hits you can think of. It's the perfect activity to relax and take a load off after those ever-stressful deadlines. Even their much beloved game tournaments come without the pressure of traditional competitive play and are good vibes. The committee are absolutely class and will help you with anything you need. Wii Staffs even served as partial inspiration for me and my friends to start our own society. Thank you, Wii Staffs." - Wii Staffs Member.
