Student Representatives Create Change in the Drama Department

Have you ever been curious what impact you and your reps can have on your course and life at Staffs?

Our Drama department is currently undergoing some big changes, thanks - in part - to the amazing work by your student representatives! If you have been on the Stoke-on-Trent campus in recent weeks, you may have spotted the scaffolding currently around the Performance Centre and Studio One. This is to facilitate a huge selection of works over the next couple of months, including a wide range of repairs, refurbishments and additions to the buildings, with the sustainibility and success of the space in mind. As well as this, students and reps have worked with the University to instate some staffing changes.

This was achieved by the students on the course communicating and working with their Course Reps and Media & Performance Department Rep, Chloe, who then engaged with our Elected Officers and Union staff to get their voices heard by the teams within the University that could enact the necessary changes. 

As a Students' Union, we are always so proud to see our student rep system create real change that positively impacts the lives of current and future students!
