About Us

The Stafford Film Festival is an independent film festival based in Stafford, showcasing diverse stories from around the world alongside the work of local Staffordshire filmmakers. Our first edition was held on 31 January 2025 at the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre, with an international judging panel and 22 award categories. This year we're expanding to a series of screenings across Staffordshire (late August–September 2026).

The Opportunity

  • Creative & Communications Volunteering, covering:
  • Social media and content creation
  • Marketing and PR assistance
  • Graphic design — posters, programmes and event artwork
  • Videography and highlights-reel editing
  • Requirements: age 18+; no DBS check required (no work with children or vulnerable adults); availability on screening dates, daytime or evening.
  • Key dates: recruiting now; happy to take students for 2-3 months at a time.

Training:

 All volunteers will receive relevant training/induction.

Skills and development:

  • Specific experience in Marketing, Content Creation, Graphics Design & Videography
  • AV/production exposure
  • Portfolio material for graphics design, marketing and social-media students
  • References on request
