Welcome @ Staffordshire University

Welcome is a super exciting time of the academic year... But what exactly is it?

What is Welcome?

'Welcome' is the name that we give to the period of time at the start of every academic year when students are heading onto (or back onto!) campus, usually starting around mid-September. During this time, we put together a programme of events and opportunities to ensure all students - new and returning - are feeling comfortable, excited and ready to start the academic year!

What's On?

The Welcome programme includes all sorts of great opportunities, from Give It A Go sessions to our annual Welcome Fair (psst! this year it's on Wednesday the 27th of September!) and everything in between! You can get all the information about our events on our What's On page, and students in ResLife halls can check out the wall planners provided in every entranceway. Be sure to check the website regularly, as we're constantly adding new events throughout the year.

When Can I Get Involved?

Welcome is more than just a few days! It usually kicks off around the campus accommodation move-in weekend (this year, we're kicking off on the 16th of September) and continues past your first week of classes all the way through October!

Where is Welcome?

The Welcome programme covers all of our campuses (London and Stafford students can filter our What's On page to your campus online), and some events can be accessed online as well!

What is Re-Welcome?

Re-Welcome is the second Welcome period that we run during January and February of each year to welcome you back to campus and provide an exciting Welcome period for students beginning their studies at the mid-point of the academic year.
