04/12 - Last week, we started department reviews within the Union (these help us check that the Union is working, and I started writing my sections for the Basic Needs Survey. Over Tuesday and Wednesday, I had Board of Governors commitments and a strategy day. On Thursday, I met with the Office for Product Standards and Safety, who agreed to sponsor the Leadership Academy, and I also chaired the Student Group Executive meeting.
10/12 - Last week, I got involved in the University's re-branding project before taking part in outreach work at the Grove School in Market Drayton, delivering LGBTQ+ workshops to over 150 Year 11 students. I then met with university staff about the Engagement Deal, which is progressing well. The Basic Needs Survey was on Friday, and I tried my hand at bartending for the Student Staff Christmas Party on Saturday evening!
18/12 - Last week was a relatively quiet week! I had an external meeting with NUS about conferences. As well as the Trustee Board for the Students' Union, and our Better Staffs Forum. I hope everybody has a peaceful holiday and a restful new year!
