Your events hub on campus is home to club nights to cater to most tastes! LRV is situated on the Leek Road campus, just a stone's throw from the Halls of Residence. LRV and Ember Lounge were national winners in 2023's Best Bar None awards. LRV is now one of the top venues in the country and is classed as a Centre of Excellence for other Union venues to learn from.

Best Bar None | Gold Accredited - 2023 National Winner

Your Students’ Union venues have (once again) received the ‘Best Bar None’ Gold Accredited Award!

Best Bar None Gold

But what does this mean?

This award is given out annually to venues that go above and beyond to create a friendly and safe environment. The team do this by ensuring there are measures in place to keep you safe, including our Union Angels, responsible drinking and Be Safe while maintaining positive relationships with local authorities and licensed trading teams.

In addition to this, our Venues provide continuous staff development and training that provides transferable skills in areas such as First Aid to keep all our members and friends safe.
