FAQ
Q: Will you have any Give It A Go Sessions?
A: Yes. These are free, you don't need to pay the membership fee to take part.
Q: Do I have to pay the membership fee to join?
A: Yes, it is a one time fee that covers the costs of all your sessions, including funding for external choreographers and other exclusives only available to members. This fee enables us to give you the best dancing experience.
Q: What is the difference between the two membership options?
A: Competition membership covers anyone who will join a competition team, whether they are in 1 or all 3, the fee is the same, and this membership also covers open classes! Open class membership is for those who do not wish to compete, but would still like to dance with us.
Q: What is this insurance?
A: This just means you will be insured in case of injury during sessions. It is compulsory for all clubs and societies.
Q: I've never danced before; will I be able to keep up?
A: Everyone learns at their own pace and there's always someone to help if you are struggling. Don't panic if you don't get it on your first try! Practice makes perfect!
Q: Do I have to audition for the competition teams?
A: Yes, the times and dates will be announced at the start of the first semester.
Q: Do I have to attend every session?
A: If you are in any of the competition teams, regular attendance is expected. This is to make sure that you and the other dancers are prepared for competitions! Open classes are not mandatory.
Q: Are there any socials?
A: We are a very social bunch and love to boogie! We have various socials planned throughout the year including themed nights out (halloween), a Christmas meal, and so many more!
Q: Who do I contact if I need to ask any further questions?
A: Your committee and choreographers will be able to answer most additional queries you might have. Also feel free to contact us via email or social media!
