About Us
Whether you're just learning your first Shoryuken, or you're deep into mastering TAC infinites: from budding newcomers to veterans of the genre, Staffs Fight Club is the society for you! A place full of friendly fighting gamers where you can hang out, play games and improve your skills - Fight Club is open to all!
The only thing you need to bring is a controller and preferably a wire to connect to the PCs as Bluetooth isn't reliable with the Uni PCs
The Rules
- Always talk about Fight Club (the more members, the merrier!!)
- Don't be a salt mine, be respectful to others!
- Settle disputes in-game, we're not a real Fight Club.
- Let people enjoy things - there's a lot of fighting games out there.
- Have fun!
Sounds great! When do we meet?
We meet every Thursday evening for our casual meetup where people bring their consoles, games and controllers to run sets and have fun! Steam is already loaded onto the PC setups in our room, so your library is easily accessible. For any special events, make sure to join our discord community to be the first to find out, as well as interact with the committee and both past/current members.

Meet The Team
Society Leader: Dan (Danksli) (He/Him)
The President of Fight Club and a huge fan of the competitive side of fighting games. Dan is enthusiastic about the theory behind the genre (especially tag team fighters) and will happily play non-stop with you for a couple of hours, and then (win or lose) begin exchanging notes after the fact.
My main game is Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and I remind people of that fact a lot as I'm a little bit obsessed. I play it competitively online and have attended the in-person major VS Fighting twice for UMVC3. You will regularly find me in the society Discord posting about tech I've found for my team (Magneto/Doom/Dante) or any team/character for that matter as I really enjoy theory crafting different compositions, or creating resources for other people getting in to the game. Otherwise, I'm always down for some Street Fighter 5 (where I play Balrog and Urien) as it's the game that got me into the genre, and regularly play Street Fighter 6 (Alex) but I'm also open to dip my toes into any fighting game you may be enthusiastic about. I also like commentating on the Fight Club tournament stream, as I like being able to hype up our members and celebrate the progress they make, as that comradery is what makes the fighting game community so special to me.
Communications: Samantha (Shrimp Girl) (She/Her)
Finance: Lyssia (Raging Estrogen) (She/Her)
The queen of bad games and finance officer for fight club, Lyssia plays unpredictably. You never know when she'll wake up with a Raging Demon.
Akuma is my main in any game he's in. I'm frequently found playing UMVC3 (Wesker/Sentinel/Akuma), Guilty Gear (Sol Badguy), Killer Instinct (Shadow Jago) and Street Fighter 6 (Akuma). However, I'm down to play any kind of fighting game going.
Wellbeing and Inclusion: Pablo (Pibbles) (He/Him)
