Academic considerations for Pre-registration Health and Social Work students

As pre-registration health/social work students your courses are of a professional /vocational nature and your conduct and character are taken into account as well as your academic and practical ability.  It is therefore very  important that you familiarise yourselves with Staffordshire University’s regulations and award specific information, particularly:

  • “Award Handbooks”

  • “Fitness to Practise Operational Procedures”

Information on other academic procedures, such as extenuating circumstances and appeals, can be found on our Academic Procedures advice pages.

If you experience problems on your course then the Student Advice Centre is able to offer advice and representation to students. It is important to contact us as soon as you know there is a problem so that we can assist you in resolving it as quickly as possible.

You can also seek advice and guidance from the University Student Guidance Advisers. Their contact details can be found by clicking here.

There are school levels and student academic reps working with the Students' Union to represent your views to the University
