This time of year again! Only feels like yesterday I ran for finance! This year I have decided to run for Manager.
I have loved SUDC from the start and my love only grows stronger! It has been a pleasure to be both a member and a committee member over the last two years! This club has come so far.
My aims for if I become manager is to continue to great work that Ella has been doing and to ensure the club grows more and more.
I aim to ensure that we do two comps again like this year and too have the best time possible. Dancing with the teams have been incredible and we have had some amazing cheorographers over the last few years and I want this to continue!
What I have learnt from being the finance officer is how much love and support both the committee and the actual club has! Each and every member of the club have had a huge role to play in the growth of the club and long may that continue.
This year we have had some brilliant socials, if i became manager I will ensure that we have more socials to ensure that the clubs bond is unbreakable and help us to get know eachother from the start. I would also look into fundrasing ideas, like doing a raffle again like this year as this was a brilliant way of getting everyone involved.
As I have been a part of many societies over my two years at uni I would love to see these societies come together and work along side eachother to allow others to experiance different activities and also allow the club to branch out and make new life long friends. This would allow the societies within the uni to connect and to become Proud to be Staffs.
If I became manager I would also look into getting a sub committee up and running to allow support for the committee members and also to allow others to have an insight into what happens behind the scenes.
I would love to have this role in the society and to continue the amazing work that the other three committee members have put in over these last two years! They have resurrected the club and turned it into the fun and lively SUDC we all know and love!
