Hi I'm Frankie! I've been a vegetarian for the past year and a half and am slowly making progress towards becoming vegan. I began this journey as a way to be kinder to the planet and eat healthier, my passion for the environment and veganism has grown exponetially in that time. It is this passion that has lead me to throwing my name in the hat to run for society manager.
Having been a leader of societies before I believe inclusivity, companionship and a welcoming nature is the recipe for success. I will promote a sustainable, healthy and ethical lifestyle, and will look to provide opportunities for members and non-members to attend talks, debates and seminars covering a wide variety of topics such as plant-based land management techniques, animal-free and plant-based healthcare and much much more.
I strongly believe I have what it takes to be a great manager, as I am motivated, organised and willing to devote my time and energy to this amazing society. Veganism and vegetarianism is a huge part of my life and something I am keen to share with both vegan and non-vegan students on campus.
Finally I'd like to put on regular fundraising events, with funds being donated to a animal welfare or vegan charity of our choice, I am eager to put on events for students across the campus to engage with non-members, as after all the ultimate goal is to spread the plant-based life message far and wide right?
