I’m Alex Cooper, a second-year English student, and student rep.
At the core of my campaign are accessibility, inclusivity, and wellbeing. I myself am a disabled student: I’m partially sighted, but this doesn’t impair my vision for the future. I firmly believe that everyone possesses the capacity to change the work for the better, but some people need a little more help than others to achieve their potential. It is quintessential, for me, to get support to whoever needs to – no matter how much, or how little, they require- to make the daunting task of university life that bit more manageable.
Furthermore, I seek to amplify the voices of those often overlooked: working directly with you to make sure your opinions and needs are heard and respected.
Because you are important. A university is nothing without its students.
