As a Visitor Attraction and Resort Management student, I understand the importance of creating lasting memories for everyone, and as students’ time at University will be unforgettable, I want to organise events that will truly make the experience special. I have grown up visiting theme parks and have 4 years of work experience at the Alton Towers Resort, so I have built up an extensive knowledge of the industry.
This year, being part of the Theme Park Society has given me the chance to make some wonderful friends with the same interests – having fun! I hope to have the opportunity to create these experiences for everyone in the 2021/2022 year.
To take off into A Spectacular Year, I hope we can make the most of the autumnal events at UK theme parks, including but not limited to Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. These parks offer some incredible Oktoberfest and Halloween events which are great opportunities to really get into the spirit of what the Theme Park Society is all about.

From the end of Semester 1 and going into Semester 2, many UK theme parks are closed, so why not take advantage of other amazing attractions? I will be looking into trips to Chester Zoo, The Bear Grylls Adventure and perhaps even a trip to the infamous Phantasialand in Germany.

Once the theme park season commences again, I would like people to experience the astonishing atmosphere of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach opening weekend in February, as well as looking into visiting more UK theme parks, such as Chessington World of Adventures and LEGOLAND Windsor, in addition to returning to Alton Towers and Thorpe Park.
Finally, what is more spectacular than one of the most magical places on Earth? That’s right, to finish off the year, the Theme Park Society will hopefully be heading to Disneyland Paris for the first time! An amazing trip to celebrate the end of what is going to be A Spectacular Year.

With the opportunity to have more fun, more excitement and more thrills, I hope I can welcome new and returning members to the Theme Park Society in 2021/2022 for A Spectacular Year!
