Manifesto
Hello all!
You may already know who I am but if you don’t that’s okay, I am Kyle Jordan a current ResLife Mentor(2020-2021) here at Staffordshire University but in my free time I’m Kyle who spends 28 hours a day on his PC!
A little about myself is I AM CRAZY! I love to have fun and just enjoy every moment that passes. If I can make a moment fun and silly, I will do so. Being a ResLife Mentor also allows me the opportunity to talk and help improve students experience here at the University if that’s planning & running events or just chatting to them one to one.
I am running for the role of ‘Club Manager’ for the Cue society because I feel like I will be the person for this committee role, as I have experience In a competitive pool league and playing for an open age team in Stoke-on-Trent. I have been playing pool for 7 years now and entering my second year of competitive pool. I will be using my skills not only from being a current ResLife mentor here at Staffs (2020/2021) but I will be using my skills from playing competitive pool to teach, grow and help every individual that joins this society! As a society, we will grow as a collective and strive to entering a tournament/division! We will help one another reach goals and SMASH anything that becomes an obstacle. I am also here to coach both new and experienced players in the society to improve in their overall experience. As I already play for a team, I will strive to get experience for the society in different venues and against different teams.
Manifesto points:
- Tournament/league: To get a league or tournament set up for the society to thrive within the university and outside!
- To reach out to over venues and clubs to spectate or compete against for experience
- To grow the society in members to have a strong society base.
- Mental health: To create and use ‘pool night’ as a safe haven for people that deal with loneliness/mental health and make it a fun and relaxed environment.
- To teach, grow and help improve people's skill range regardless of how new or experienced.
