I’m Daisy, current manager of Staffs Pokémon Society and senior concept art student with a passion for games!
As a society manager & student demonstrator, I’ve seen all facets of uni life, including the joy that comes with being a student. The newfound freedom, making friends on campus, learning skills & networking — it’s an experience that can’t be replicated!
I’ve also seen the other side; first-years struggling to adjust, third-years becoming burnt-out & frustrated due to how their course is run. That’s why it’s crucial for this university to ensure that every student’s needs are being met.
My Goals
- Providing opportunities for students to speak their minds. I’ll be putting the power back in your hands!
- Encouraging students to get involved by setting up accessible events everyone can enjoy. It won’t be just Gobble anymore!
- Supporting students as they adjust to uni life by improving welcome activities and resources. This will benefit everyone!
Why Vote For Daisy?
The University of Staffordshire recently took steps backward. Examples like the graduation venue and underfunding the Students’ Union suggest that all they're interested in is saving pennies, regardless of what’s best. This isn’t the reputation a university should have, and I hope to address these issues & encourage improvement.
If I’m elected, you can expect me to take the necessary steps to ensure that the university provides opportunities for your thoughts to be heard regarding the management of courses, modules, student groups & more.
If you vote for me, you’re voting for a future where students are treated as more than their 8 digit number. You’re voting for an officer that listens to you — one that hopes to make the university listen to you too.
