Are the fixtures free to attend?

Mostly, yes! Varsity Football is the only event with a fee, and entry is just £3. This is paid at the gate (cash only). Everything else is free!
 

Do any events have a capacity cap?

A few of our indoor events are limited to a capacity. These are still free, but you'll tickets for:
 
Spectators can collect tickets from the Sports Centre reception from 11am, Wednesday 27th March. Spectators must have their student cards in order to collect a ticket and are only allowed to collect one ticket for each sport per student.
 
Spectators will need to leave after every game to allow the area to be cleaned and set up for the next sports. 

Will there be transport the off campus fixtures?

There will not be any arranged transport to external fixtures for spectators however, most local taxi firms charge around £5 for four people from Leek Road to Newcastle Town. We'd recommend City Cabs!

Are supporters allowed to drink alcohol?

Alcohol will be permitted around campus although any drunkern and disorderly behaviour will be reported to campus control.
 
Zero alcohol zones:
  • Sir Stanley Matthews Sports Centre (SSMSC)
  • SSMSC 3G Pitch
Do not bring and drink alcohol you have bought elsewhere into the following venues. You may only consume alcohol purchased within these venues:
  • Newcastle-under-Lyme Football Club
  • Newcastle-under-Lyme Rugby Club
External venues have their own security teams and any students deemed to be drunk and disorderly will be removed (just like any external sporting fixture).
