The Student Advice Centre Volunteer scheme is now entering an interesting time, where we are looking at our background systems and information that we keep.
We have had a number of students recently sign up to volunteer with the project at the Stoke campus and have started to create a workable database.
Some of our volunteers have also worked at the recently started Welfare Wednesdays - where they were able to talk to students about a range of issues, along with students being able to talk to other students union staff. - Welfare Wednesdays will happen every week, at Stafford will be in the Student Space in the Beacon Building and at Stoke will be in the Students' Union above the Ember Lounge. Come every wednesday from 12pm - 2pm.
We are also looking at recruiting more volunteers and provide them with more training opportunites to develop them further with a range of skills.
