Game Development Society's Story

"Game Development Society have continued to deliver some amazing opportunities for students this year and have worked tirelessly as a committee to ensure that members have access to many social opportunities and industry leading advice and guidance. They collaborated with other students to deliver an amazing Global Games Jam with 222 people attending where 46 games were made over the weekend. They have showcased the opportunities open to Staffs Uni graduates with their 'From Uni to Industry Talks', inviting alumni Alex Beddows from Dekogon to speak to students, as well as alumni Lewis Thompson from Ubisoft and Harry Wrzyszcz at Rockstar North. They have also supported students at London and talked to them about academic societies and the amazing opportunities that they bring. Alongside this they have promoted Movember and 3d moustache modelling, hosting lots of opportunities for students to both learn and socialise on discord and arranged trips for students such as EGX, which is a fantastic learning and networking experience for students."

We hope that you are as proud of your story as we are. However, if you would prefer the Students' Union to no longer display you story on our website, please email union@staffs.ac.uk and a member of our friendly team will be happy to help.
