Students' Union Policy

We follow our policy that tea, coffee and sugar sold in our venues and shops should be Fairtrade. Retail outlets must stock more than 50% Fairtrade tea, coffee and hot chocolate (But are actually achieving 100%) The union have also ensured that the Fairtrade alternatives are available across as many ranges as possible such as chocolate, sugar, flapjacks, cookies and even some shampoos and conditioners.

Why choose FairTrade?

Choosing Fairtrade means standing with farmers for fairness and equality against some of the biggest challenges the world faces. It means farmers are creating change, from investing in climate-friendly farming techniques to developing women in leadership.

With Fairtrade, you change the world a little bit every day. Through simple shopping choices, you show businesses and governments that you believe in fair and just trade.
