How HEAR can help you as a graduate

Every student worries about life after university; the change of lifestyle, the dreaded search for work, so you might welcome anything at all that makes this process easier.

The Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) could be a vital tool during your initial years as a graduate, accumulating all of your curricular and extra-curricular records into a concise formal document that you can flaunt to potential employers. The students’ union, in collaboration with the university, has ensured all students graduating in 2017 have access to this.

As well as your academic module grades, the HEAR will list all of your union and university achievements outside of the lecture hall, whether it’s being an active committee member for a club or society, working as a member of student staff or even winning an award.

After falling out of use in recent years, HEAR is back, thanks to the hard lobbying of the union’s Engagement team. Be sure to make the most of it by getting involved and show everyone that you made the most of your time at Staffs.
