What's happening when during this year's biggest election?
Look no further! Here's all the key dates for this year's Leadership Race. If you're a nominee this year, don't forget to check the Leadership Race SharePoint site you've been emailed a link to for more dates and deadlines that you'll need to keep in mind.
Nominations Open
This is the period where any eligible student can nominate themselves for a position in the election. Its online only, and you have to nominate yourself.
- 10am Wednesday 1st March to 5pm Friday 31st March
Close of the Electoral Roll
This is where we close the list of students who are eligible to vote. There's a little more information on this webpage.
Candidate Preparation Period
This is where your confirmed candidates will be using the Easter break to prepare their campaigns to secure your vote!
- Monday 3rd of April to Friday 14th April
Meet Your Candidates
This week is your opportunity to get to know candidates, their key priorities and personalities ahead of voting. We even hold Q&As so you can ask them questions!
- Week beginning Monday 17th April to Friday 21st April
- Candidate Q&A Events (online and in person) on Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th
Voting
Where you cast your vote for your favuorite candidates. We use Single Transferable Voting, which means you can choose as many candidates as you like, ordering them by your preference. Voting is all online @ www.staffsunion.com/vote
- 9am Tuesday 25th April to Midnight Thursday 27th April
Results
Where Your Union brings you the outcome of the election, for all of the posts up for grabs! Live and online, hosted by Staffs TV, you can hear who's been elected before this year's Student Group and Sports Awards events.
