In 2021, The University arranged 17 collections of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), a mixture of laptops, TFT, desktops, networking equipment and associated peripherals. The total weight of this was 17,876.22 KG, so this means that due to Stone Technologies zero-landfill accreditation, this is nearly 18 tonnes of WEEE waste that has been saved from going into landfill, and has been reused, refurbished, or recycled.
So far in 2022, The University has arranged 10 collections of WEEE waste and the total weight of this was 6,731.48 KG, which means that nearly another 7 tonnes of WEEE waste has been saved.
Also, as part of Stones Refurb’s partnership with the National Forest, 30 trees have been planted on behalf of Staffordshire University.
