You may be aware that Students' Union's like yours participate in the SOS-UK Green Impact accreditation scheme, for which we have consistently acheived Excellent for several years running.
For the first time SOS-UK are running their Green Impact programme at English Heritage, and are looking for volunteer student auditors to asisst with the programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some work place skills and experience, combining learning with culture and heritage at some fascinating locations. You could be auditing a castle, a Roman Fort, a Priory or palace or even Stonehenge!
Students will get the opportunity to receive IEMA-approved training and put this into practice by conducting a sustainability audit for an English Heritage site (including places like Stonehenge!).
The training will support students to develop and practice transferable employability skills including communication, teamwork, decision-making, time management, and organisation. They'll also get first hand experience of sustainability in the workplace and cultural sector.
