Season two of the sickeningly sweet breakout comedy of last year, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, is coming to Netflix on April 15th.
The trailer hit this week for season two, which was confirmed before season one even aired!
It turned out to be one of Netflix’s biggest hits of last year with its quirky quips and unforgettable, hilarious characters.
First released in March 2015, the comedy, starring The Office US star Ellie Kemper, made #hashbrownnofilter an actual phrase.
The series revolves around Kimmy Schmidt (Kemper), a 29-year-old who had been locked away in an underground bunker for 15 years with three other women, after being told the apocalypse had hit.
Once they get released, Kimmy tries to survive in New York, and having been locked away from society away from mobile phones and hashtags, it’s all about her kooky self getting used to the 21st century.
With a cast of equally funny characters, with Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski (30 Rock) and Carol Kane (Ugly Betty), the show is packed with laughs and some downright relatable moments.
Back in January of this year, the lovable comedy got a season three, meaning there’s plenty more laughs to come from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Season two is going to push the boundaries of comedy even further, and from the looks of the trailer, it’s gonna get weird… er.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season two premieres April 15th on Netflix.
