What is Varsity?

Traditionally, Varsity is a series of sporting fixtures between two rival universities. Back in the day, the scene was dominated by Oxford and Cambridge, otherwise known as Oxbridge, as they went head to head to the title of Varsity champ. Now, with other universities on the scene, we’re eagerly awaiting the return of Staffs and Keele to see who will take the Varsity throne.

Can I go and watch?

We encourage everyone to go and spectate at Varsity and cheer on Team Staffs. To allow you to do just this, we have organised coaches to take you down to Keele that will run, approximately, every 30 minutes. The pickup point will be the Leek Road layby and the coaches are free to everyone with a Staffs Uni student card, but you MUST have your student ID with you. Please note that alcohol is prohibited on the coaches and all Varsity venues and will be confiscated if it is found on you.

Please note that...

-Spectators will be permitted on coaches departing from Leek Road once all players allocated to that coach have boarded.

-Student ID is required for all players and spectators wishing to travel on the free coach service.

-No alcohol is permitted on the coach or at any Varsity Venue, alcohol will be confiscated.
