If you're interested in learning the basics of boxing, trying out a new style of workout, or just making new friends in a safe, fun, and friendly environment then the Boxing Society is perfect for you. 

We plan on designing fun sessions every Sunday 6-8pm at the LRV for anyone and everyone to join, using gloves and pads to work on developing the technique and discipline used in boxing. We adopt the style of BoxFit to ensure that people from all fitness backgrounds get the benefit of each workout, so we will be working the entire body, not just the arms and shoulders. 

In addition to the Sunday sessions, we are also partnering up with the university with their Fit and Fab programme on Thursdays 5-6pm at the LRV for Females only! This session is free and does not require a membership.

The £43 per year memberships contains:

  • All equipment provided (unless you wish to buy your own gloves)
  • 1 to 2 fun, rewarding workout sessions a week 
  • Partenership with TenCounts gym, where we plan to take part in once a month sessions off campus with a professional trainer
  • Additional gym help/advice (if requested)

Our committee team consits of Josh (Society manager), Amy (Communications Officer), and Scott (Finance Officer), and we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable at the society. As well as exercising, we hope that you'll join us on nights out to weekly Gobble/Flashback Fridays, and potentially in the future we could aspire to take excursions out to watch boxing matches!
