Hi! I’m Daniel Lorimer, but most of you who recognise me would know me as Noggie, and I’m applying for finance officer of Myth in 2020/2021. I'm running as part of the Death Saving Bros slate with Rika Paderes (Comms) & Xander Blackburn (Head). Since joining Myth in September of last year, I’ve made a plethora of friends and memorable experiences, from Mytheoke to attending DL and DMing my first game there, I could not have asked for a better experience with a society. These experiences have made me want to try and help others have an incredible time within the society continuing to have Myth be the best society in the uni.
Going into the new academic year I have a few ideas on what we could go forward with as a society. Including, but not limited to;
- More Merch! With the success of Myth t-shirts and people wanting a second wave, I think it would be a great idea to gauge out interest for more as well as different kinds of Myth apparel.
- With Myth growing to be the largest it’s been thus far, and with more people applying that means more funds to give to each subcommittee! I plan to work closely with subcommittee heads to get them what they need to help make their sessions the best they can be!
- As an esports student I would love to run official in-myth game nights/tournaments; within the discord or perhaps the esports hub if there’s enough interest!
